Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
So, You Have Some Questions...
If you're thinking about getting some coaching, but you have some questions that need answering that are holding you back, you're definitely not alone!
It's often been said that there is no such thing as a silly question, so if you don't find the answer to your question here, then please email me and ask me directly.
Here are the most frequently asked questions that previous clients have posed...
Why?
Q. Why would someone make use of a Coach?
There can be a whole host of reasons why people hire coaches. Many people find themselves feeling overwhelmed by their circumstances, or stuck in a situation, not knowing which way to turn. Others may feel quite confident about their chosen direction, but either want help to maximise their effectiveness by confiding in a supportive sounding board, or they know that they don't have all the answers themselves, and would benefit from discussing things with an experienced guide.
Another big reason for engaging a Coach like Tony Inman is that people often want someone to not only help them develop a strategic plan for their business or their life, but also to have someone who can hold them accountable to follow through on their ideas.
To use an old analogy, it's often hard to see the 'wood for the trees', and the client may just need an objective assessment of their situation and their ideas. A Coach can ask different, and often challenging questions to help unlock the real obstacles and to find solutions to the issues and agree upon the best way forwards.
Q. Why should you hire Tony Inman as your Coach?
There are many coaches out there to suit different situations and different needs. You can read the many testimonials from my previous clients, or watch the videos, or even look at what other industry coaches and colleagues have said about me, the way I work, and the results that I have helped my clients to achieve.
The main reason that people hire me rather than someone else, is that they feel a connection - in some way, my style and approach resonates with them, and they feel that it's a good match. Other factors include my experience, both as a Confidence and Mindset Coach, Life Coach and Business Coach, along with my many years as a successful entrepreneur (so you know that I can 'walk the talk') which enables me to also switch hats between being a Coach, a Mentor and a Consultant.
Before I commence working with anyone, I like to have an initial meeting to determine whether we are a good match for each other, and it's important that we both agree on that. I will only work with clients whom I feel are in the right mindset and are properly open to being coached or mentored. If I don't think I can help you, or that you're not serious about taking the action necessary to improve your situation, then I'd prefer to recommend someone else.
I also have to clarify my disclaimers and where appropriate, direct you to different specialised professionals. I'm not any of the following: a Financial Planner, Accountant or Tax Agent; a Lawyer; a Psychologist, Psychiatrist or Certified Counsellor (although there can be elements of 'counselling' in the NLP work that I do), though I can certainly refer you to experts in these fields, as the need arises.
My advice is based on my business and life experience, including over 40 years of management and leadership positions, and on thousands of hours of formal study and self-education, both in gaining my qualifications as a Certified Coach, a Certified Trainer and Assessor, and a Certified Master Practitioner and Trainer in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). I'm appropriately insured as such and in the many years that I have been doing this, I have developed my own successful approaches and systems (See 'the Inman System'). I'm also the author of 'If Life's Worth Doing, It's Worth Doing Well' and my articles have been published in places like 'Business News' and 'Anthill Magazine', and I've been interviewed on '101 Business Radio'. You can also tune in to some of my 'Tony's Talks' on my You Tube Channel.
Other reasons for hiring me have included the fact that I'm also a Speaker and Presenter, so I can offer both group training sessions for the budget-conscious (such as my workshops and Masterminds) and one-to-one sessions for those who seek personal attention.
