Business Consulting
Why Business Consulting?
Why might you consider paying for business consulting?
Being the boss of your own small business can sometimes feel like a lonely place because the buck stops with you and none of your family or friends really 'get' what you're dealing with. Think about why you started in the first place...
You probably went into business for yourself because:
- You wanted to control your own destiny?
- Or maybe you had previously worked for a boss who didn't impress you and you thought you could do things better than him?
- You thought it would be easier to make a lot more money?
- You felt your creativity was being stifled?
- You won't have to work as hard?
- You hate taking orders?
- You're unemployable?!!!
Then, when you started, you realised...
- You have to know quite a lot about many different things, like marketing, finances, administration, managing people etc. etc.
- The money may seem to go out as quickly, if not quicker than it comes in.
- Customers can be difficult sometimes.
- Staff can cause you problems that keep you awake at night sometimes.
- There are a lot of rules and red tape that you have to comply with.
- You seem to be working harder than you were in the job you had before!
Sometimes, you realise that you probably need some help from someone with experience, someone who has done the hard yards and who understands what you're going through.
You may then decide either:
- That you can't afford to 'waste' money on some consultant who doesn't know your business like you do.
- Or that it's a good idea to seek advice and support from an experienced entrepreneur, and that by 'investing' in that advice, you are making a tax-deductible investment in your own business.
What's It Going to Cost?
Relax. There are no nasty surprises. I don't charge for an initial chat to help decide if we're a match for each other.
I'm not some high pressure salesmanand I don't need your money. Of course, I'd like some money! But I don't NEED it!
Plus, I don't work with everyone.
I like and work with clients who:
- See the value in engaging a consultant, coach or mentor - for the differences, see the explanations on the business coaching page.
- Are willing to invest a reasonable fee (for both parties) to help solve some problems.
- Are honest and ethical.
- Are open-minded and willing to consider alternative solutions to problems.
- Genuinely want to succeed and are willing to act on ideas and plans that we may develop together.
- Are not negative and pessimistic, but are at least willing to be enthusiastic and positive.
If that sounds like you, we can start with a chat, maybe over a coffee (tea, health drink, whatever!) and assess whether we fit and if so, what would be fair and affordable to help you solve your problem or achieve your goals.
