'Define Your Company Culture' Workshop
Why Defining and Documenting Your Culture Matters
Most business lecturers, consultants and coaches will recommend to you that defining and documenting your company's culture can signficantly increase your chances of business success and ultimately, add value to your business.
Why?
Because an organised business is usually more effective, more profitable, easier to manage, and eventually, easier to sell.
Also, having a strong culture will bond the team, increase morale and reduce absenteeism.
“A big thank you Tony for facilitating our session. I am really excited for our future!! I’d be happy to recommend your services to other friends and associates.” ~ Fiona Conley – Principal, Citrus Finance
What Do We Mean by Company Culture and What Are the Key Components?
In a nutshell, company culture means 'Who we are', 'Why we do what we do', 'What we believe' and 'How we do things around here'.
Many small business owners are so busy 'getting through the daily grind' of business that they don't set aside time to dwell on these things properly. Even if they do, they often don't include their team in defining these statements. It's been proven time and again that when you include your people in these discussions, they will buy into what you are working towards more effectively, and they may even come up with some ideas that you haven't thought of.
It's a key part of developing your business plan that you include these sections (and a lot more):
- Your Purpose
- Your Values
- Your Vision
- Your Mission
- Your Unique Sales Proposition (What sets your business apart from others).
How Much Will a 'Define and Document Your Company Culture' Workshop Cost and What Is Involved?
My usual fee for facilitating a small team workshop (generally up to about 12 people) is $550.00 (AUD incl GST).
For larger groups we'd need to discuss the logistics and fee. It can also be run as a Zoom meeting, but is a lot easier to manage and more effective in person, owing to the interactive nature of the brainstorming sections.
The session usually runs for around three hours, split in two, with a refreshment break half way through.
